Als er nog 3 of 4 mensen in een eventuele volgende ronde nog renners moeten hebben zou ik bijna als optie willen geven dan de renners hier in het forum te plaatsen ipv te mailen

Het is miss een optie ?

Er komt zeker een vijfde ronde, maar net als vorig jaar als er nog maar heel weinig mensen over zijn kan er hier in het forum geboden worden.

De beurt is gedraaid, er zijn nog slechts 2 teams die niet compleet zijn, dus gaan we (zoals @hofsje al voorstelde) over tot bieden in het forum: @Homme en @jappe666 bied hier om jullie laatste renners binnen te halen. Zodra alle teams compleet zijn, zal ik een start datum voor de talentencup aangeven. Iedereen kan natuurlijk al wel gaan nadenken over de talenten die ze in hun team willen hebben. Ik hoop dat dat makkelijker is geworden door de bovenstaande lijst.

Daar gaat een interessant talent naar Homme!

Mooi snel gekozen

Na afgelopen jaar te zijn gepromoveerd naar de 1e divisie kunnen we spreken van een aardig goed debuutjaar. Met een team dat volledig bestond uit Spaanstalige mannen haalden we de top 10 met enige marge.

Omdat deze resultaten voor zich spreken waren we als beginnend team helaas niet kapitaalkrachtig genoeg gebleken om de hoofdcoach aan te houden. In de zoektocht naar een nieuwe coach kwamen we na een slippertje op de snelweg in contact met de verzekeraar. Via-via zijn we zo in contact gekomen met ene mr. Bolt, die vanwege een lucratieve investering én veel interesse in professionele topsport wel iets zag in ons project. Enige voorwaarde was dat hij als coach enkel met renners wilde samenwerken die zijn taal spraken. Want de grootste horde in de wereld is miscommunicatie, en door met gelijkgestemden te gaan werken zou dit tot een minimum worden gebracht.

Therefore we present to you our team for season number three in this game, and season two in the top division!

First of all we contacted ánd contracted both the Yates brothers. They have arrived at an age where inexperience isn't an issue anymore while they can't fall back on the 'plenty of years to come' excuse either. At the end of the previous season, the difference in CQ-points between the brothers was only slightly over a hundred points. Combined we expect to get around and about 1750 points before the end of the season. Time to harvest!

Secondly (and obviously) we reached out to mister Kurt Bogaerts to come in touch with Thomas Pidcock. Last season he managed to become the world champion in cyclocross in the winter while winning the stage on the Alpe D'Huez in the Tour de France in the summer. In between these moments the season was all but a walk in the park. The covid virus interrupted his preparation on the Tour while in Switzerland, while sickness overcame him in preparation of the spring classics. Shortly after the Tour he also tried to become the world champion on his mountainbike, but ended in fourth. We expect Thomas to grow ever more, ride more road races than he did last season ánd get better results. Hopefully he can provide us with around 900 points.

Signing the previously mentioned captains of the team came with a small bonus attached. Robert Stannard - (old) teammate and close friends with both Simon and Adam - contacted us after he'd gotten a whiff of their transfer. Being a 24 year 'old' guy with already 5 years of experience as a professional cyclist, he now knows and shows what the reason of his early pro-contract was. Previous year he constantly finished in the first places in almost all races he started in while also winning the general classification of the 'Tour de Wallonie' in preparation of the Vuelta (in which he finished second in the mountain classification). We believe that he'll do better next year and hope he can get around 500 points for the team.

Without a doubt the tallest member of our new team is Hugh Carthy. He's had a slightly disappointing season last year and due to that we were able to contract him for a rather low sum. Compared to Stannard he doesn't own the potential for growth, but considering his achievements in the Grand Tours we think we can also expect around 500 points. Also George Bennett should be capable to get a comparable amount of points. As the oldest rider in the team at the age of 32 he has shown to gradually score less points over the years. Does the move from teams give him a last burst in his career or will he focus on teaching the young guns?

Our 6th signing is a man that has never switched teams. He's been one of the mates of Simon since the start of his career. He's capable of riding decent results himself but often shows his skills in a serving role lately. When analysing his career we see a pattern in which he performs best in seasons '17, '19 and '21. This obviously means that he'll do good next year. Lucas Hamilton will have to amount to around 400 points to show his gratitude for the chance in our team. The same goes for Chris Harper who has a comparable set of skills. Becoming a pro at a later age should mean that he's got more capacity for growth although we don't expect miracles.

A man capable of performing on almost any terrain is Nicholas Schultz. He's been in the same team as both Yates brothers and has often shown his reliability. Last two seasons he's also proven that he can ride for results too.
Simon Carr is a rider that has had an unfortunate year last year. His only Grand Tour was the Giro, in which he couldn't start in stage 8. Considering the years before ánd his age, we expect at least 300 points of both guys next year.

Although the talents still officially have to be added to the team, we also added two 'more experienced talents' as we'd like to call them. Both Lewis Askey and Sean Quinn show immense potential for growth. Together they should be capable to get around 250 points at the least.

Roughly we should be capable of getting around the 5000 - 6000 points next seasons. This gives us the confidence to aim for the win while being satisfied with a spot in the top 5. If the new coach can't improve the 8th place of last year we'll have to search for a replacement.

De teams staan op pagina. We gaan zondag verder met de talentencup. Ik moet nog even kijken op welke tijd het wordt, maar dat zal ik hier communiceren.

Al een idee op hoe laat we mikken Elrio?
Kwestie van de dag helemaal in functie van ons bod inplannen. ;)

Ik ga voor zondag 22:00. Iedereen die eerder biedt (voor als de tijd niet handig uitkomt) krijgt zijn bod als ware het gedaan om 23:00. Dit is natuurlijk van belang voor eventuele tie-breakers.

Wanneer breng je de resultaten dan naar buiten, Elrio? Niet heel erg belangrijk hoor, maar in D2 lopen we een dag achter en de talentencup is waarschijnlijk bij uitstek de competitie waar 'afkijken' een invloed kan hebben.

Vandaag 22 uur? Da's wel snel ineens

Ik sla de talentencup dit jaar over. Ben vandaag en de hele komende week nauwelijks in staat om er serieus mee bezig te zijn. En ik wil er geen grabbelton van maken.
Hou dus maar geen rekening met mij.
